In addition, associates from NACR and ConvergeOne also contributed to the "iPads for Tangelo Park" project.

"Since we began holding the NACR conference at Rosen Shingle Creek in 2013, NACR, ConvergeOne, and our partners have been inspired to use it as an opportunity to thank the community for welcoming us so warmly, and to give back in a meaningful way," according to John F. Lyons, CEO and President of NACR. "It seems natural to follow the great example of Rosen Hotels and Resorts Founder and President, Harris Rosen, who is renowned for his commitment to social responsibility and community outreach."

Rosen's philanthropy includes a commitment to the Tangelo Park Program, which provides free preschool to all 2-, 3-, and 4-year olds who live in the Tangelo Park neighborhood. In addition, he provides an all-expense paid education for those who reside in the neighborhood and are accepted to vocational school, community college, junior college, or a four-year public college in Florida. Thus far, approximately 190 youngsters who reside in the neighborhood have been provided full college scholarships.

"This year, NACR's partners and our associates were honored to once again help Tangelo Park Elementary School and its community encourage and reward student excellence," said Lyons. In 2013, the partners donated 50 bicycles and bike helmets to be awarded to top-performing students at Tangelo. For 2014, the school requested iPad Minis, to be made available for general use by students.

With approximately 350 students pre-kindergarten through grade 5, Tangelo Park Elementary is a nationally recognized Title 1 school in southwestern Orange County, FL. The federally funded Title 1 program offers financial assistance to schools where 75% or more of students are eligible for free or reduced-cost lunch, providing supplemental services such as teachers, computers, software, paraprofessionals, and tutoring.

Although a large percentage of families in the Tangelo Park community are low income and about 12% of the school's students are homeless, the school has been "A" rated for six of the past seven years. In addition, Tangelo Park has been recognized as a "Distinguished School" at the National Title I Conference.

At the 2014 NACR National Sales Conference, the donation of iPad Minis was accepted by Mrs. Lakeitha Black, Curriculum Resources Teacher, on behalf of Ms. Diondra Woodard, Principal, and the students of Tangelo Park Elementary School. The school chorus members who were there to perform, under the musical direction of Mrs. Patti Jo Church-Houle, were also part of the gift presentation. Afterwards, the chorus and school representatives were treated to a special reception at the hotel, with refreshments and the chance to get to know some of the NACR partners and associates in attendance.

The annual conference serves as a venue in which NACR and the other ConvergeOne companies meet to attend educational sessions, share innovations, and develop strategies for meeting customer needs. In addition to hosting national account managers (NAMs), design specialists, and executives, the conference includes partners who provide technologies that complement and enhance the ConvergeOne companies' solutions.

"Once again, I am extremely grateful to all our partners who committed to this project, as well as proud of the NACR and ConvergeOne associates who asked to be a part of it," said Lyons. "Everyone agrees this is the best part of our conference—so, we all look forward to returning next year and continuing to lend our support and encouragement to the wonderful students, faculty, and staff of Tangelo Park Elementary School."
